Hello Everyone!
My name is Vishalli and I am interested in renewable energy, environmental justice, and health equity. My background is in trauma research, HIV and women's health, and health equity. I am very interested in how environmental trauma disproportionately impacts the health and wellness of low-income communities of color. I hope to use my MPH degree to affect health policies that impact health equity and reduce the prevalence of avoidable negative health outcomes in minority populations.

Hi Vishalli! I am looking forward to reading your posts for this class during the semester. I think low-income minorities populations get the most affected by climate changes.
ReplyDeleteHi Vishalli! Trauma research is definitely connected to mental health as well; I'm interested to see if there are any direct environmental trauma topics that can help you on your research! will be following throughout the semester!
ReplyDeleteHi Vishalli!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the class ‘Environmental and Occupational Health Issues in Public Health’ for MPH students. Renewable energy, end environmental justice, and health equity are some of the pillars of this class. As public health professionals, it is our duty to use evidence-based research to eliminate disparities and injustices. I am interested to learn more about your work on HIV and women's issues. We look forward for your successful journey and your blogs.
Best,
Igor (T.A.)
